90. Did Bill Clinton sign it into law or not?Updated at 4:05 PM
I won't argue with your other points, as they seem valid. You may have your timeline a little skewed, but no big deal. I have not discovered any connection to protecting New York Banks, but i'll concede your point. It was Clinton however, that promoted a Mexican financial bail-out in his 1st term. ( http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m1272/is_n2600_v1... )
Who knows what would have happened if that had not occurred.

I am not Blaming Bill for anything other than perhaps bowing to pressure. The agreement has not lived up to the promises that were made, no doubt. But the fact is, Mexico is a huge trading partner with the US and we need to get the goods in and out of Mexico efficiently. This entire issue has to do with precisely that. The mechanics of how to do it have been hashed out for over 15 years.

I liked Bill. Truly. Still do, but i tend to agree with Michael Moore who once said "Bill Clinton was the best Republican President this country has ever had".
