He also had the courage to point out that we in American live, Muslim, Christian and Jew (and other religions) side by side without violence, enjoying our diversity and that nations in the Middle East should stop discriminating against Christians and those who convert to Christianity. What Gaffney ignores is just how daring it was of Obama to call for tolerance in Egypt, a country that punishes Muslims who convert to Christianity. I thought that Obama's defense of our our belief in religious tolerance was bold, honest and forthright. I was very proud of Obama for his statements in this regard. I also liked his statements about women's rights. Obama pulled no punches. He showed respect for Muslims but stood up for our American values.
