41. Actually, doctors often order pathology and DNA tests on miscarried fetuses...
Especially for later miscarriages beyond 12 weeks. It is theorized that the majority of miscarriages occur due to a severe genetic issue with the fetus. But if that cause can be medically excluded, then the physician can run tests on the woman to see if she has a hormone deficiency, a uterine or other abnormality, or other medical problem to see if she's at risk for future miscarriages. It's just good sound medical care in cases of miscarriage...
