29. She probably persisted long after others would have given up
People like that are who make the real changes. I imagine she must have felt like giving up many times. Especially after getting called crazy by everyone. She's a very good example of how one person with enough dedication and persistence can change not only one thing, but everything. She changed the entire culture and customs of the village by showing them the advantage of saving the turtles.

You never know where you'll find people like her. They're just there and their social and economic circumstances don't mean anything.
