instead of aviation people like they used to be. I don't accept the claims from some corners that they sacrifice safety for profit but they draw the line just short of it. One thing most of them have done that I think is -real- dumb is quit serving meals. And yeah, I know all the jokes about airline food, but on balance they actually were fairly good and at least gave the pax something to do on a flight. I always have food & assorted beverages on the planes I fly...usually a couple of trays of snacks from the deli. People like to have it available.
