We moved to Detroit from VA last summer..after July 4th and because of restraints on the amounts of stuff we could put in our U Haul truck AND the fact that the lawn mower was on it's last leg, and full of gasoline in a closed HOT truck we left it behind. It would sputter and spew..and complained endlessly when cutting grass. Last year my husband used a weed wacker to cut grass.

The good thing...we purchased a reel push mower this month..no gas, no oil, no spark plugs..just push it back and forth and viola!!! cut grass!!!

The bad thing is we purchased it through walmart...our nemisis...through site to store..no shipping and handling charges...and it cost under $100...and being new to Detroit we have no idea where to purchase a reel mower other than all the other box stores.

The question is, does the good of a reel mower out weigh the bad of purchasing it from walmart?

PS..we left sweltering VA and found the weather in July/August in Detroit DELIGHTFUL..it was the winter that was FRIGHTFUL!
