I appreciate what you have stated.

The sad fact is that some cannot recover from the Primary Wars and view all criticism of either the president or his Administration as a personal attack on themselves.

I notice many missing voices and many "informed' voices who seem silenced. This is very sad when,as Democrats, we used to pride ourselves in not "walking in lockstep".

Your rules at DU are very fair, and yet often the "spirit" of the rules are not adhered to.

I retain my right to criticize any president or Administration when warranted and to praise the President and Administration when warranted. But many times it seems that even expressing "curiosity" about how the Admin is handling certain topics is enough to have a posters vote and political credibility questioned.

I am not comfortable with that state of affairs and wonder, if, as exemplified by some of the posts in this thread, DU can ever return to pre election civility.

I wish us all well but when I read threads having to justify FDR as a Democratic icon, I fear the divide may be too deep.
Thanks again for the words of wisdom.
