The former mod endorsed the term in a thread when it was not being used in a context THAT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH GLBT ISSUES. It had to do with economics, the Obama administration's closing of CIA prisons and the cutting of the military budget.

You are being biased by your own perception. The term is widely used for "false outrage."
