I'm open to ideas as to how we can use the military at home. Sure we'd have to downsize, but I'd rather see that money go into job training, unemployment, etc...

A few years ago I lived in Dallas, TX, and they were having a hard time finding police recruits. Surely the military could supply some candidates. I would imagine military medics could fill some nursing spots. We could use more good science teachers, and presumably some of these military types with technical training could fill those jobs.

There are ways to do this if we are serious about stopping the imperialism.
