for help getting a car.. Grandpa said he'd give her his old car.. She had onlt ever seen him drive a truck.. When she got there (they had a farm in nebraska).. he took her to an old barn, and said.. here ya go honey..





It was just like this one..1936 Buick


She was barely tall enough to see over the steering wheel, and had to call her boyfriend to come & help her get it back to school..she did not know how to drive a stick shift..

She did rank though, because she was the first freshman who was not a sports person, to make the front page of the university newspaper:)
