Is expected to be doing the job and under scrutiny from Nov 5 on. His cabinet picks are analyzed, as are his inauguration plans. This happened with Bush, Clinton, Bush, Reagan, etc. etc. If you think this is bad, go check out the history on FDR's time as PE.

However none of that excuses throwing a large group of his supporters under the bus in this cavalier a manner. What if he had done that to African Americans, women, etc.? But because it is the gay community, it's OK?

Civil rights for all is one of the most important issues of the day, people in this country are dying because of the lack of civil rights. This administration is big enough to do many things, and Obama should press the Civil Rights issue hard. Anything else is simply not a moral stance.
