If I as a woman have a civil right to enter into a CIVIL contract with Bob, and Joe does not have the same civil right to enter into that same CIVIL contract with Bob that I can legally enter into, Joe is being denied a CIVIL right.
Anytime a person can't exercise the same civil rights as another, whether it be entering into a contract with a specific person, voting, renting, etc. because of their skin color or gender, it's a civil rights issue.
If you don't believe in extending this civil right to all people, according to an old post by skinner you don't belong on DU. So that might be an opinion for you to express elsewhere, fyi. That way the community here doesn't have to listen to your ... um ... views on that topic.
