10. No doubt.
Like bad campers, the GOP is slinking out of the White House with a fire still burning and shit all over the place.

I think too many of us have been personally harmed by the Bush Administration to easily forget.

And as far as goes the inevitable slander, defamation, and falsehood which will certainly be directed at him every step of the way, this cat has a way of sailing right past those things on his way to doing what he wants to do, which seems to be a straight-up-the-middle course. Part of the reason I found myself backing him early on (and yeah, you can flame me for not saying so back then, as I tried hard to keep my mouth shut through the primaries) was because even though I'm sure he won't do my thing, I'm confident he'll at least try to do the right thing.

Perhaps I should trust my instincts more. I knew Bush was going to be one of the worst ever, and damn if he didn't surprise me by being even worse than that. My instinct on Obama is that he's got the goods to be great, and he's held back only by the crises which he inherits. I won't get my liberal utopia out of Barack Obama, but I might get my country back, and I'll happily take that.
