| 20. Some elderly people already have a home health care aide, but could use a housemate |
|
to be there when the home health care aide isn't around, not to do what the aide would do but to help them in other ways and just be there if needed so the person isn't completely alone.
Not all elderly people can live with their adult children. Not all HAVE children. Not all want to move out of their homes and into a nursing home, and some aren't in such bad shape that they have to. They can do fine with just having another adult around to help.
Some of them are willing to give a person free room and board to do this.
Some of them advertise for such a person.
I would suggest this young woman look for such a situation. She might be surprised at what she finds.
