393. Solid evidence?
Your definitions of the words "solid" and "evidence" aren't the same as those found in the dictionary.

Let's stipulate that non-SS people were flashing SS badges. How do you jump to the conclusion that, "it thus appeared that someone was carrying fraudulent Secret Service credentials--of no perceptible use to anyone but an escaping assassin." Oh, really? I'd think that there could be a perceptible use for such fake credentials to any number of people: FBI agents, political operatives (Republicans), or pro-Cuban operatives who wanted a way to get close to the action. Even media types could have such things. No perceptible use to anyone but an assassin? That's an OPINION, not solid evidence.

As far as, " A few months later, they told me they didn't have an FBI man in that area. If they didn't have anybody, it's a good question who it was. " What a dolt! So, they "didn't have an FBI man in the area." That could be a true statement if they had FBI MEN (plural) in that area. Yep, they didn't have "an" agent, they had multiple agents. Coulda happened. "If they didn't have anybody" - Summers makes an assumption based on the half-truth they told him.

Conspiracy ignored by the media? In what country?
