| 11. Lieberman brings to mind the fable about the fox and the scorpion. |
|
The scorpion wants to cross a river, but it can't swim. So, it asks the fox to swim across with the scorpion on its back.
The fox says no because the scorpion will sting him. The scorpion argues that he won't sting the fox because then they would both drown.
This sounds logical to the fox so he agrees to swim across with the scorpion on his back. Half way across, the scorpion stings the fox, and as they both start to drown, the fox asks the scorpion why he poisoned him. The scorpion responds, "Because it is my nature."
Lieberman has shown us his "nature". He has to be relieved of his chairmanships.
