Elminating the chance of the victim to get the hell out of dodge before the abuse becomes severe though a no-fault just get me away from the SOB ASAP divorce. Abusers are really good at appearing all sweet and kind until they start tossing pregnant wives down the stairs and even people who don't believe in divorce start thinking they had best get one fast as happened to a certain ancestress of mine.

I am willing to do many things to help my fellow humans who happen to be GLBT get marriage equality but I am not willing to toss innocent bystanders under the bus to make a point.
