19. If no one gets impeached, I think we can blame
the many keyboard commandos who did not one thing to speak out or protest. After all, it's undignified and upsets republicans.

  - Protesting during Valerie Plame's testimony was not the time or the place.  Beelzebud   Mar-16-07 12:12 PM   #1

  - Do you?  Bornaginhooligan   Mar-16-07 12:20 PM   #8
  - Yes, I want a bit of attention given to my protest of the stupid pink tiara.  greyl   Mar-16-07 12:28 PM   #11
     - Appropriate?  Bornaginhooligan   Mar-16-07 12:34 PM   #21
        - Yes, appropriate. I'm protesting, remember? nt  greyl   Mar-16-07 12:37 PM   #23
        - Yeah.  Bornaginhooligan   Mar-16-07 12:38 PM   #24

           - I'm protesting the self-involved distraction from the Plame proceedings.  greyl   Mar-16-07 12:43 PM   #30
              - Nope. You need to write letters and protest loudly in public too.  uppityperson   Mar-16-07 12:46 PM   #33
              - I agree with your subject line.  greyl   Mar-16-07 01:04 PM   #42

                 - No, Einstein, I'm saying it isn't helping.  karlrschneider   Mar-16-07 02:20 PM   #60
                    - Anyone who votes to not impeach due to 1 woman wearing a tiara was going to vote that way anyways.  uppityperson   Mar-16-07 02:41 PM   #63
           - Does this apply to Camp Casey also? Some people were very against that too.  uppityperson   Mar-16-07 12:54 PM   #38

     - No shit. That doesn't provide sufficient reason for the tiara.  greyl   Mar-16-07 12:30 PM   #13
        - And, as you admitted, there are appropriate times  uppityperson   Mar-16-07 12:32 PM   #17
           - I can't know what you mean by "this much animosity".  greyl   Mar-16-07 12:34 PM   #22

  - Hypothetical: Chelsea Clinton is killed in a car accident.  greyl   Mar-16-07 12:18 PM   #6
  - This hypothetical person is protesting what at CC's funeral?  uppityperson   Mar-16-07 12:21 PM   #9
     - Doesn't matter what the protest is about.  greyl   Mar-16-07 12:32 PM   #16
     - because I like being ridiculous.  uppityperson   Mar-16-07 12:34 PM   #20

  - The issues are related but hardly the same.  karlrschneider   Mar-16-07 12:28 PM   #12
  - So if no one gets impeached it is this 1 woman's fault for wearing a tiara?  uppityperson   Mar-16-07 12:31 PM   #15
     - If no one gets impeached, I think we can blame  proud2Blib   Mar-16-07 12:33 PM   #19
     - We need protests. The idiot pink woman is simply acting like a fucking loon.  karlrschneider   Mar-16-07 12:38 PM   #25
        - Do you think our side will LOSE support stopping bushites because of 1 woman in a tiara?  uppityperson   Mar-16-07 12:49 PM   #35
           - Probably not BUT it won't GAIN us what we NEED.  karlrschneider   Mar-16-07 12:51 PM   #36
              - And wearing suits would gain us what we NEED?  uppityperson   Mar-16-07 12:55 PM   #39
                 - I refer you to post #44.  Beelzebud   Mar-16-07 01:59 PM   #53
  - Do we have any members of ACT-UP on DU?  JackBeck   Mar-16-07 12:33 PM   #18
  - That is a good question.  uppityperson   Mar-16-07 02:29 PM   #62
  - Bye for a bit all, off to take dog to vet. Wondering how to dress there.  uppityperson   Mar-16-07 12:59 PM   #40
  - Your sarcasm is off target.  greyl   Mar-16-07 01:02 PM   #41
  - But the fence sitters might.  uppityperson   Mar-16-07 01:33 PM   #45
  - Oh, I was at the vets last week.  Bornaginhooligan   Mar-16-07 01:07 PM   #43
  - There is a HUGE difference between your vet, and the room Valerie Plame is testifying under oath in.  Beelzebud   Mar-16-07 01:58 PM   #52
     - There are differences and similarities  uppityperson   Mar-16-07 02:09 PM   #56
        - Context is everything.  Beelzebud   Mar-16-07 02:16 PM   #58
           - So she didn't really have on a clown suit. Just a t-shirt & tiara.  uppityperson   Mar-16-07 02:21 PM   #61
  - Justice has had a very hard time of it lately. She's been tortured, exploited,  blondeatlast   Mar-16-07 01:28 PM   #44
  - nicely said.  seasonedblue   Mar-16-07 01:54 PM   #48
  - I wish I could have said it as well as you just did! I want to recommend this post!  Beelzebud   Mar-16-07 01:56 PM   #50
  - Well done. nt  greyl   Mar-16-07 01:56 PM   #51
  - To the "protest anytime anyplace" people. Does that apply to Fred Phelps as well?  Beelzebud   Mar-16-07 02:10 PM   #57
     - I refer you to post #9, repeated here with a bunch of answers and a question.  uppityperson   Mar-16-07 02:18 PM   #59
     - I'm afraid we are urinating into the prevailing advection here.  karlrschneider   Mar-16-07 03:01 PM   #64
