1. My San Diego sister finally got her yard nice enough for an Obama sign.
And a neighbor she had never met came up and introduced herself saying, "I thought I was the only one on the block!"

My sister refused to put up political signs while her garden was still...as it had been in her husband's bachelor days. When she was first married, neighbors would stop by and thank her for finally mowing the lawn. Her whole purpose in whipping that place into shape was to display those signs in a respectable and praiseworthy setting.
