73. Monmouth County New Jersey--Purple
Locally Republicans rule. Our congressional districts however are dark Blue. Frank Pallone and Rush Holt are two of the most reliably progressive members of Congress. The shore communities love Pallone's environmentalism and Holt (the my Congressman IS a rocket scientist) guy, gets the big brain vote that lives in and around Princeton as well as fiscal conservatives who like his no nonsense approach to spending. My town, Little Silver, is dark red but we're in Holt's district so I am quite happy with my Congressman.
