37. I have seen the plunge many times. Many times the bottom does not bring the hoped for change.
It simply brings death. Sometimes the fall is just too much.

Now is the time to fight.

I am working as a presiding judge at the polls and campaigning for Obama.

I have been talking to ANYONE who will listen to me (for nearly a decade) about what is being done, what has already been done and what can happen from here on out.

I have learned that sitting, conversing among ourselves, is NOT the way to change things. This place is simply a good place to rest and learn. We need to be conversing with people who don't yet "get it". If one takes the time to actually break it all down for people they (more often than not) will consider and often CHANGE their ideas about what is important for this country and as a result, themselves.

The problem is that the voices that are speaking to them want to keep them ignorant about what is happening in this country. Most people do not have time to search out large amounts of information to either prove or disprove the information they are being fed. They simply grab what they can as they tend children, run out the door...When time is limited you seek out the news that is of concern to "you" and have little time for anything else. I try and point out that there are very big issues that affect ALL OF US. Issues that should be a priority for all of us.

People here often underestimate the average joe. It is not that the vast number of people are ignorant. It is that they are overworked, under-compensated, tired, sick, poor... When people are too stressed to concern themselves with the excesses of the political sphere they do not look deeper. I consider it my responsibility as someone who has the ability to look deeper and the time to process that info to try and help break it down. I can sort through 10 articles and find the most respectable one. I can show it to people who simply do not have the time so they might come to the conclusion that it is wiser and safer for them to discount the BS and begin fighting those factions that are seeking to destroy us.

This is my fight NOW while we are still trying to bring about a meaningful change. If there is a large movement toward giving up or moving to the other side than i do not know that my fight will continue to be for this country. I think my energy will need to be more focused on trying to ensure as normal a life as possible for my children in the coming difficult times. Because they are coming no matter who is President. The depth of it depends on our actions today.
