45. my personal experience
Edited on Sun Aug-24-08 08:53 PM by louis c
I am a union President and I get so many men and women looking for work, I can't count them.

recently, a very strong young man came to me from a friend who wanted to work on a garbage truck. The local union that represents them are Teamsters. The pay, to start in $18.50 an hour with health care after six months. The waiting list is two years. Americans will throw garbage in the 90 degree heat of summer and the freezing temperatures of wither for $45,000 a year.

However, if the pay were cut to $8.50 an hour with no benefits, which amounts to $17,000 a year, you now have a job Americans won't do.

Why does the free market only work for their side? Why can't it also work for our side?
