I saw that video of Hillary talking to her supporters at that fundraiser and it was clear that she only had the best intentions. Here's a summary of her political punditry for the Democratic Convention:

She believes that appeasing her fervent supporters is the best way to bring them into the fold. It's clear that Hillary isn't looking for the nomination. However, it's also clear that she doesn't have a clear plan on how to bring embittered supporters of hers into the fold. Her logic is that the best way to energize the entire party is to make sure that everybody walks away content that their voices were heard. It's kind of hard to argue with that point. It does seem kind of weird that she doesn't believe that she could just tell her supporters at the Convention to support Obama and that if she did a great job of that then they would follow her lead.
