18. Not Wrong At All
I've given this thing a lot of thought while watching the Impeachment hearings and it struck me at how really out there the Executive branch has isolated the Legislative and detached it completely from the Judicial...not only that but had stifled them as well. I don't think it's a side of this thing that others see...and thus they become frustrated as they believe that the Legislative...the House in specific...is in the position to really assert much authority...in many ways having not only to do their job but the Judicial's as well as to throttling a runaway Executive.

The framers knew that the first two branches would be highly political...you can't be an elected official and NOT be....that's why they set up the Judicial outside of direct influence by voters to allow it to operate independently and as the ultimate safeguard of the Constitution. Over the past 7 1/2 years, the Judicial has failed us...and something that needs to be looked at if we're to really restore a balance of powers.

That's the reason I strongly favor Representative Miller's call for an Independent Prosecutor to be one of the first acts of a future Obama administration. Without a functioning Judiciary, including a non-politicized Justice Department, we won't be able to restore the Constitution or expect any accountability.

Cheers...
