As a member since 2001, I would say this has become more obvious in the past few months beginning with the primary season. It is particularly alarming since the site is supposed to promote progressive values. Quite the opposite is the result of the offending, insulting, profane posts that now litter the threads.

More acceptance can be found over at Free Republic than in some of the forums around here.

Maybe when the schools start back, mature debate will return.
