12. Moving MSNBC to the digital tier would be enough for me to cancel cable
Live TV "news" (when it's happening) is about the only value left in cable that I can see. MSNBC is far from a perfect network but it's still generally less painful than the offerings elsewhere. I can watch all of the shows I like on the internet (legally) and for the cost of a year's worth of cable I can buy a home theater PC to play it back on my television. The quality of most of the content online is waaay better than analog cable and it's usually in the proper aspect ratio instead of being lopped off to fit a 4:3 screen (thanks CBS, ABC, Fox, et al.)
