but there comes a time when I must stand up and be heard and now is the time.

When I think of how we are destroying the lives of our young poor people it sickens me no end.

I have seen this over and over in this state - the poor kids get busted and end up having less than nothing, their futures destroyed, while I see the cops who arrest them pull every unconstitutional (therefor illegal) trick they can get away with - and under the Patriot Act these kids have NO RIGHTS at all.

The cop who arrested this kid was fired from another force for sexually harassing women while on duty, according to some good cops I know (and there are a lot of good cops in TN - just not in this particular University town where most of the cops are criminals themselves in my book.) Somebody forgave him for his criminal behavior, it seems. He still gets to be a cop.

But this young person is facing having his whole life destroyed.

No justice in Tennessee, that's for sure.
