65. Try Sadness
What’s beyond pissed? Try sadness. I just learned that my sister-in-law’s niece signed up for the military. What’s the reason this kid joined the Army? To travel and see the world! She bought the propaganda hook, line, and sinker. Her dad is a former military man and believes she’ll be assigned some cush position in Germany. Maybe if the kid or her parents saw the realities of war on TV, like soldiers coming home in body bags or blown off heads and limbs, this 18 year old girl would be going off to college instead of war. What’s even sadder is her cousins adore her, and they don’t even know she signed up. My brother, sister-in-law, and their kids went to see her this summer to say goodbye because they don’t know if they’ll ever see her again.

Why should Nancy be against the war when her husband is a war profiteer? The war will never negatively affect Nancy’s life unless the military draft is instituted and her loved ones are dragged off to be killed.

So getting back to the American Revolution, how did it come to fruition? When it was supported by the rich and the poor. Mostly led by the rich and fought by the poor.
