dollar salaries, and huge bonuses even in years when GM lost money? All the while cutting the salaries of the design and manufacturing teams or pink-slipping them altogether?

Fuck GM. They can swirl down the spout for all I care. That's free-market capitalism right there. When they tank, a better, more deserving automaker will take over. One that changes with the times, and adapts to survive.
