15. My mother's story was how she fed my dad a bowl of air
one time. It was the late 40s, they'd just been married, and he hadn't thought to dole out a household budget.

When she ran out of canned goods, she served air for supper. He complained, she informed him that's what air bought at the supermarket.

I never heard them fight about money, so I guess that's when they settled everything.
