3. What difference does it make?
When you graduate they don't want to pay you more just because you spent 4-6 years of your life indebting yourself and learning useful skills and knowledge.

If it weren't for the enjoyment of knowing things, I would wish that I'd never gone. It's done nothing for me professionally except set me back a few years. The guys who were working when I was in college are now my managers.
