30. I LOVE that example of how the brain works!
It works that way aurally too!!! I garble my articles in German when I know that I haven't a clue. People supply their own as I dance around adjectives, declinations or any construction that would bust me. NOT EASY, take my word for it! ;-)

Bad spelling in and of itself doesn't bother me all that much. What disturbs me just somewhat is the lack of care and attention to detail in simple constructions. Are we all in such a hurry that we cannot take the few seconds required to be sure that our communication is clear?

German and reading this board have affected the Queen's English I was taught as my mother tongue. Knowing that, I keep a dictionary under my computer. That doesn't help much when I proofread and simply fail to recognize that I've used a German word in my post.
