102. Judged for our appearance NO MATTER WHAT
Too fit, too skinny, too fat, too pale, too blond, too tan, too tall, too short, too muscular, too flabby, too old, trying to look young, trying to look older, not trying enough....ENOUGH WITH THE HATRED. Women hate other women most of all; isn't life hard enough ALREADY? Why do we have to lay this shit on one another? How does it help anyone? How does it advance us as human beings?

I marched with my mother in the early 1970s for women's rights. I honestly believed then that I would find the world a better place for us when I grew older. But here we are, living in a increasingly shallow and venomous world, being judged and rejected no matter what we do with ourselves simply because we were born into a woman's body. It's hard enough making it in the workplace; outside of the workplace society is just as vicious. God help us all as we age because no matter what we do, we will be harshly judged for doing it.
