58. Funny you should ask...
we got a glossy magazine from our cable provider (Charter) which had an interesting article about the production of"Rome"...

It seems that the two characters, Lucius Voorenus and Poulo who play two soldiers from Ceaser's vaunted "13th Legion" were derived from two soldiers mentioned by Ceaser himself in Caeser's Commentaries on the Galic Wars. The concept is pretty slick....what would Rome have been like as seen through the eyes of two common soldiers of the time....they built the personalities from there...
