21. Mink and other fur-species are not eaten for the meat
and they are frequently raised under cruel circumstances. Someone earlier posted a documentary exposing the Chinese practice of skinning some of these animals while still alive or after having been scorched with boiling water.... Fur coats symbolize this cruelty in a way they might not have many decades ago.

I too eat meat on occasion and wear leather shoes. I also am not opposed to hunting. The difference is that the animal is consumed and not wasted for vanity purposes.
