16. NO Gore broke with the DLC during his campaign and became a populist. I will
look for the quote from the DLC I posted the other day blaming his "lost" on moving away from the DLC when in fact while he was w them he was down double digits and afterward as a populist he won (although of course the SCOTUS would have none of that!)
