I also make sure to pay my credit card bill in full every month.
I don't want to sound heartless but if you drive a newish Lexus and own a flat screen TV, you only have yourself to blame if you have large credit card debt.
(About the only people with large credit card balances that I am sympathetic towards are people who have used their credit cards to pay for medical emergencies. These cases are heartbreaking and are more a reflection on how bad our healthcare system is).
