I'm not afraid of calling people out on their unconsidered biases.
The OP is right - half the people here who say they don't like Oprah are saying it's because she's bossy or overbearing or patronizing. Women have heard it all before - you've got to be a "man in a man's world" but as soon as you do anything a man could do without criticism, you stop being feminine and demure. People of color have heard it all before - as soon as they succeed at anything in the "white man's world", they're not "black enough" any more.
Consider your motivations. If you wouldn't criticize George Clooney for his endorsement of a (white, male) candidate, then leave Oprah and Obama alone or at least consider that there's a double standard on the part of the criticizer.
I think the OP was spot-fucking-on.
