human nature does not revolve around oppression and greed, that much is an observable fact. The first human societies had no conceptions of property at all, they were communal.

"Human nature" is determined by the society that defines it. Capitalism is based on greed, and so people think that people are naturally greedy, when in fact that behavior is simply a product of their (cruel and corrupt) economic system. The vanguard party rejects such bourgeois influences.

Furthermore, the vanguard party IS the workers, it's just the politically advanced sector of the working classes. The members of the vanguard party ARE workers, or else they can't be part of the vanguard. Look at it this way: it's like activists within the Democratic party as opposed to people who vote Democratic, they don't oppress the voters, they just do what is needed to further the Democratic platform.
