As an ex-fundy I can assure you that these people think the Earth is worthy of total destruction and "rebirth." Yet when you ask them why they stick around when a better world awaits them just the other side of death their only rejoinder is they need to work to bring others along (read: convert others).

We have the delusional leading the naive to the destruction of us all.
