9. I kind of have to disagree with your stance that the repubs have not trashed their base
as I am sure you are aware of many are not exactly happy with them right now, especially the religious base of whom they used unmercifully and then did not follow through with what they promised them they would do.

I agree with you though that we need to hear what they are saying and I do try, I just find so much of what they say to be so ridiculous and ironic and hypocritical that it just turns me off, I try, I swear I do, I mean after all I am married to one but even he cannot prove to me without a shadow of doubt that what he believes and that they say they do makes any sense at all.

The repubs might have once tried to tend and groom their base but now I think all they can do is pretty much do what they are doing which in some strange way is working which is ignoring their wishes now, not even acting all that much as if they care all that much, oh every once in a while they use the God card for effect and though they have been proven to be anything but close to godly they still have their followers but so very few.

Don't believe the media that they are even close to what they once had and for the record, I firmly believe Giuliano to get the nomination though many don't want him, we shall see but I don't think they could care less what anyone wants any longer ,they have their stronghold and come hell or high water they will not give it up and they don't need to pander any longer because they already feel they have won.

I will continue to believe though that they have overlooked one key issue and so that in the end they will not be able to steal this election once again. Not sure what card they plan to play but know this, it won't be pandering to people's needs but more to people's fears, we shall see which card they use to ensure the people remain terrified, its all they have.
