98. agree....keeping all of this in memory when daily there's a new assault on
our reason is impossible. Without efforts of Du'ers who have kept the links and refresh our memories with commentary as each new part unfolds...it would all go down the memory whole.

This is what's so terrible about our M$M today and why the 1996 TeleCom Act was so devastating to our Democracy. It's one of the reasons that i turned against the Clintons after being one of their biggest defenders. In hindsight...loosening the regulations on our public airwaves by allowing media ownership consolidation (begun under Reagan) has allowed so much of what we are seeing now to go forward and metastasize with little or no accountability.

Many of us who have been following the Crime Families trail for years here on DU and other liberal sites can't keep up with it all so how can the average American who only sees a headline or two as each new treasonous act is exposed connect the dots and get a full picture? Without a media who will stay on these events and keep connecting the dots in a narrative form ..it all goes down the "memory hole." Even the Wall St. scandals and criminality fall into the same black hole with the average American knowing something is wrong and has been wrong for years with Wall St. and Banking schemes but could never put all the pieces together to demand that congress and FCC put tougher regulations in place. In fact the Gingrich Congress further eroded banking regulation put in place after Great Depression. Senators Dodd and lieberman were complicit in that.

What a mess....
