Matthews clearly doesn't give women the same benefit of the doubt he gives men. If a guy, especially a guy known for comedy, had called him a right wing tool, he would have laughed and played along. But with Stephanie he turned completely adversarial in a split second.
That's because he really is a right wing tool.
