45. WTF is this part of the story:
Two men were arrested and jailed on drug trafficking charges in Merida, officials said. They declined to identify the men, however.

McClatchy is withholding the names of the alleged new owners of the plane because they couldn't be reached for confirmation.

Huh? What does the writer mean "alleged new owners"? Care to explain that?

At the time the plane went down, it is OWNED by someone or some organization. Who was that owner?

This sounds to me like the preparation of a cover-up (hypothetical):
"The plane was just sold by the U.S. Gov't to a private owner and so had nothing to do with the 4 tons of cocaine."
