How do you decide which of the publics many messages deserves to go on a public wall? Who gets to recruit -- the young evangelicals or the local gang? Homophobes or racists or politicians? (Get over yourself/just get along messages aren't as controversial, and the folks who try to live that way rarely spend their time promoting them.)

I say leave the public building walls to their intended purpose -- let the schools focus on their mission, and everyone else do their "thing" on their own space. (Garage doors make lovely forums for political opinions, for example!)
