these are people w. little spare income and if their vacation is lost, then it's lost and who knows when they can afford another

i'm not surprised some few of those folks are less well educated nor am i surprised that some of those folks choose to cross their fingers and hope for the best

these days many usa citizens go years without a vacation and the super-cheap resort all inclusives entice people who might otherwise seldom or never get one

i'm mixed about it, i don't think we should be encouraging people to visit new orleans in august-september (prime hurricane time) but the yucatan is at risk august-november and that's a big hunk of time for people in that region of mexico not to be earning

articles like this rely on knee-jerk hate in a situation that is nowhere near as clearcut as they would have you believe

if we were all rich, no one would work at an all inclusive in cancun and no one would vacation at the beach in hurricane time...but we're not
