I will have to check out that newleftreview link.

Your efforts are appreciated by many of us.

I count myself fortunate (though few might call me so in comparison to their own lives) to live, as you do, outside the mainstream. I don't have to haul all of my water as you do but I do have to haul some in order to do most common chores.

Now, most people would not be able to envision the reality of not having running water so they can't envision learning new ways to conserve such a precious resource.

It's the same "trick" with stuff. Once you realize stuff doesn't make you happy, it is all so easy to see how we get sucked in. Before you make that association, "stuff" seems to be the sole reason for being.

I hope we never have a financial fallout. I hope we can maneuver around in the present system towards the end of diverting money into positive channels. And I guess that means just keep saying it over and over...where is your money going? I'm no expert at avoiding all corporations yet but I'm getting closer.

Just my take on it. Thanks for having this discussion with me.
