42. About Radicals
rad·i·cal (rad-i-kuhl) – adjective

1. of or going to the root or origin; fundamental: a radical difference.
2. thoroughgoing or extreme, esp. as regards change from accepted or traditional forms...
3. favoring drastic political, economic, or social reforms: radical ideas; radical and anarchistic ideologues.

9. a person who holds or follows strong convictions or extreme principles; extremist.
10. a person who advocates fundamental political, economic, and social reforms by direct and often uncompromising methods.

The Crux: "advocates fundamental... reforms by direct and often uncompromising methods..."

Mr. Pitt - I give you credit for understanding the problem - "Corporations with human rights, enriched by war and the permanent establishment of the wartime economy, made rich again by 25 years of war, and by 1976 legally able to use their vast wealth to buy and control the entire government." Wham. Nailed it. Nice Job.

If only Clinton had been able or willing to articulate the same. If only he had ACTUALLY "advocated fundamental reform" of this reality "by direct and... uncompromising methods." The man held the most visible and powerful position on the planet earth for eight long years. Never in that time did I hear the outline of the nation's ills that you so eloquently describe above pass his lips. I can only imagine the sea changes in public awareness and public debate that would have followed such an open acknowledgement of the corporate control of our government. But alas, Clinton never touched the topic.

A real radical would have openly, actively and publicly SPOKEN OUT about the corruption of our system. Clinton did not. A real radical would LEAD others to an understanding of our present danger. Clinton never did. A real radical, by definition, would have advocated FUNDAMENTAL reforms of our corrupt system and pushed them at all expense. Clinton most certainly did not.

Bill Clinton is many things, some good and some bad - but I'm afraid "radical" is simply not one of them - no matter how you spin it.
