She is one of the BEST allies a GLBTer can have. EVER. She was simply using saying that to point out that she was a heterosexual and that she felt that way. It's valid to point out since so many people here dismiss those with rainbow avatars as "uppity" gays, when they fight against homophobia. MrsG stands in strong solidarity with us. I know this from both on and off of DU.
Hell, I've even seen a straight DUer stand up against homophobia today and not have people believe that she was straight, because of the rainbow avatar. Apparently, it's a hard concept to grasp that some straight DUers might choose a gay pride symbol as an avatar.
