At the end of the day, we are a society of narcisistic, lowly educated, selfish assholes.

There is a reason why we don't have universal health care, there is a reason why our government doesn't think twice about spending billions on a useless war rather than on its own people, there is a reason why we equate economic success with validation, there is a reason why to this day if we don't even know what the fucking death toll of Katrina is.

We are ugly, and we don't want to look at the mirror. At the end of the day, every society has the government they deserve. We deserve what we have, whether we like it or not. The problem is far deeper that Mr. Bush or Cheney's shenanigans... They are the symptoms... but it is the disease that we have ignored for far too long. And I am afraid that the disease is cancer...

Anyhow, nature is wise... The world will survive us
